Ilyushin-62M - German Air Force Passenger Aircraft, ICM 14406, 1:144
The first Soviet intercontinental jet passenger aircraft has become Il-62, developed in S.V. Ilyushin Design Bureau. The prototype took off January 2, 1963, and series production began in 1966.
Since 1973 advanced aircraft Il-62M with new engines and a maximum range of over 11,000 km was adopted in operation. Just before 2004, there were there were produced 190 Il-62M.
Il-62 served as the flagship of Aeroflot for several decades. They are actively supplied to many countries of the socialist camp. In particular, 16 Il-62M aircraft were used by the DDR Interflug Company. Three of them were purchased to the Ost German Air Force, and after 1990 they served in the Bundesluftwaffe.
This box contains an unassembled plastic model kit. Length 369 mm, wingspan 300 mm, includes 64 parts. Cement and paint needed to finish model as shown are not included. Instruction sheet with drawings and decal sheet are included.
