This Profile series presents biographies of famous and less famous knights cross holders of the German forces in WWII. Some were spectacular, others simply silent fighters. But all of them performed in a unique manner.
German Fighters which achieved kills on more than 5 four engined bombers were designates as "four mot aces". Adolf Glunz with his 20 bomber kills was one of them. Belonging to the famous Fighter Wing JG 26 "Schlageter" he received his knights cross as non commissioned officer. Later on as officer he was awarded the "Eichenlaub". Although flying sorties up the the final end he was never shot down by the enemy.
