Ritterkreuzträger Profile 13: Rudolf Frank - Eichenlaubträger der Nachtjagd
This Profile series presents biographies of famous and less famous knights cross holders of the German forces in WWII. Some were spectacular, others simply silent fighters. But all of them performed in a unique manner. One of the most successful night fighter aces was the young Rudolf Frank, entering inservice with the Luftwaffe in 1941. After being transferred to the Night Fighter Wing 3 he collected victory after victory and became one of the well known night fighters. After his tragic death he was promoted to the rank of an officer and received the oak leaves to the knights cross.
