Monteiro: Exército Portugues - Vehicles of the Modern Portuguese Army - Tankograd Missions & Manoeuvres 7022
As many other NATO armies the Portuguese Army was subject to major reorganisation after the threat from the Warsaw Pact had vanished. What makes Portugal's ground forces of today so special is that the army was organised around three unique brigades that can be deployed around the globe and used in low-intensity and high-intensity conflicts. The Rapid Reaction Brigade, the Intervention Brigade and the Mechanised Brigade and their supporting elements can create a highly effective battle group deployable everywhere on short notice. This publication grants a unique view into the motorpool of this army of specialised forces for missions abroad.
