Only view readers know about the nuclear capacity of the East German Army during the "cold war". When the Federal Republic of Germany demanded nuclear weapons under chancellor Konrad Adenauer which were finally denied by the Allies and ended up in a certain amount of partnership, offering the carriers for the different weapons under strict US control, the NVA of East Germany also called for nuclear weapons. They were indeed delivered and also run under strict Sovjet control. This Profile describes the main systems of the NVA known under the NATO codenames SCUD and SPIDER.
